As part of the process for this round, I’ve reflected on where we are as a company. Several things stand out to me – pride about the dedicated team we’ve built and the service we provide, excitement about what’s next, and awe at the scale of the opportunity that lies ahead. We’ve just scratched the surface of our initial vision, but have accomplished some big things. 

 

First and most importantly, I can confidently say we’ve successfully created a customer experience that did not exist when my wife and I were shopping for windows. A better customer experience was the primary goal when Brian & I started Renoviso. It was astonishing to us that an industry like home improvement could still be so broken and antiquated.

 

Today, we make all the little things that make renovating stressful much easier! We provide a fundamentally different experience with transparent online pricing, high quality products, exceptional project management, and the best local installers backed with superior warranties and a 20-year guarantee on every project.

 

We’ve built something BIG, fundamentally different, and without a doubt in my mind, something better – and our raving customer reviews suggest our homeowners agree. The technology platform we’ve developed combined with our team’s shared obsession with responsive service and doing what’s right for people is reshaping the broken experience homeowners know too well.

 

We’ll use this funding to build upon our technology-driven, transformative experience. One pain point anyone who has renovated can identify with is poor communication and follow-through. While we’ve developed great tools that enable our contractors and project management team to deliver on our promise, we can do better. We’ll layer on even better communication via real-time updates and statuses so busy homeowners can check-in on their project from any device at any time. 

 

 

Improving your home should be inspirational. We're going to enable that by pairing visualization tools and more educational content with the pricing customization our site currently provides. 

 

We’ve talked with tens of thousands of homeowners and visited countless neighborhoods stretching across 8 states. As we’ve grown from neighborhood to neighborhood in Boston and all the way down to Greater Philly, I’ve learned two absolute truths about our homeowners: 1) they feel about their homes the same way my wife and I do of ours, and 2) they know when they’ve found a contractor they can trust. 

 

We’re excited to continue earning the trust of our homeowners by giving them the care and commitment we expect for our own homes. We also plan to offer new renovation services while bringing our award-winning service to more and more homeowners -- starting with Greater Washington DC and Baltimore later this year, and across the country beyond that.
