Country of Origin
This engineered hardwood flooring product carries a 35 year finish manufacturer's warranty and a limited lifetime warranty on wood boards for normal residential use.
Mercier warrants that the finish will resist wear and peeling from the surface during this period. Wear must cover a minimum of 10% of the area of the installed flooring and the loss of gloss is not considered wear and tear. Mercier also warrants that the wood boards are free from structural defects, grading errors, and faulty finishing, including the application of stains or urethane finish. Note that wood slats consist entirely of natural material which react to the environment. Therefore, the variation in the dimensions of the product, which can give rise to spaces between the slats, the formwork, and the appearance of post-installation cracks and chapping can be attributed to environmental factors and are not covered by this warranty.
Under this warranty, Mercier will provide the material for the replacement of the defective boards (excluding labor) or provide compensation equivalent to the cost of refinishing the floor of the room where there is wear of finish based on a standard industry rate.
